Hi! My name is Simon, and I'm looking for a roommate for my 2 bedroom apartment for 4 months starting september 1st. The location is on Linden Avenue, with the closest major cross street being Cook & Fort. It's a very walkable location, 10 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes to the inner harbour or Cook Street Village/Dallas road. Bus stop just down the street with the #14, #11 and #15 express direct to Camosun/Uvic.
Rent is split $547.50 each
This includes one shared parking spot in the building lot
Coin-op laundry in building
Utilities come to about $10 each
I have a Shaw Student-rate internet plan with Wifi, which comes to about $15 each
Apartment is on the back side of the building, so although just off Fort St, there's virtually no traffic noise
The building does not allow pets, nor smoking
We do have a secure indoor bike storage area
I am going back to Uvic for my last term so will be moving out at the end of December, at which point the 12-month lease would have ended and if it was re-assigned to someone new, the contract would be arranged to be month-to-month. Or you could move out at the end of December as well. My hope is that that kind of flexibility would be a desirable attribute to anyone potentially looking to move in.
I am a very tidy and clean person, especially in the kitchen as I have several severe food allergies (Nuts, Fish, and Peas), which necessitates that I wash dishes, pots and pans regularly so as to avoid any allergen contamination. While I don't require that anyone I live with abstain wholly from having those specific allergens in the house, I'd only agree to live with someone if I felt that they had a respectful consciousness of the difficulties posed by my allergies.
I am a very active person. I love swimming, biking and being in the great outdoors as much as possible. Some of my other interests include playing bluegrass and jazz music, as well as baking homemade breads.
